The presentation will focus on contemporary theatricality that emerge from experiences of collaborative creative approaches using interdisciplinary, visual and spatial narratives in structuring Performance. The key examples will look at the practices of the leading interdisciplinary artists in Brazil and will provide a background to the practice experienced by Kolectiv Theatre in making an multi -medial performance methodology. There will be video and slide presentations of the relevant visual work.

Aleksandar Dundjerović is a Professor of Performing Arts in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham City University, UK. He is Visiting Professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and University of Arts, Belgrade. He has a MA from School of Drama, The University of Oklahoma and PhD from Royal Holloway College, University of London (UK). Dundjerović is international theatre director and interdisciplinary performance practitioner and scholar who worked in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Iran, Ireland, Great Britain, Romania, Serbia and Russia. He published extensively on theatre of Robert Lepage, directors’ theatre, Brazilian collaborative theatre processes, multimedia performance and Quebec film. He received numerous theatre commissions and prestigious awards at international festival in Serbia, Romania and Iran.
